I have the P•O•P Polish Fraver Collection to share with you today. This collection is based on Broadway posters/artwork by the artist Frank “Fraver” Verlizzo that is in his new book Fraver by Design: Five Decades of Theatre Poster Art from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Beyond. This is very picture heavy so I’ll get right to it. (press samples ahead…)
Carrie – A red jelly with gold and silver irregular cut flakies as well as holo flakies.

This was my surprise favorite from the group. The jelly formula on this one was perfect! It went on smooth with barely any cleanup. I used 2 coats topped with 1 coat of Liquid Glass and there was no VNL. The dimension on this polish blew me away. It looked amazing matte as well as shiny.
The Lion King – Copper and gold flakies with a sprinkling of micro red flakies and a dash of holo flakies.

This polish is super flakie! I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of Liquid Glass. This polish was a little on the thicker side, but was still easy to work with and required minimal cleanup. It was so sparkly in the sun and still very shimmery when matte as well.
Little Dancer – A gold flake foil with color shifting flakies and holo flakies.

The sparkle on this was crazy. It was also on the thicker side, but not unmanageable. Shown is 2 coats with 1 coat of Liquid Glass. What’s really funny about this one is that I actually swatched this one first. When I added the matte topcoat, it was no match for the sparkle and I thought my matte topcoat was no longer functioning. I’ve heard stories from others of that happening and was bummed that mine had died. Nope! This one is just *that* sparkly!
Obeah Opera – A black jelly with gold flakies and color shifting flakies that shift from purple, green, bronze, and blue.

I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of Liquid Glass. This jelly was also so easy to work with. It didn’t have the depth that Carrie did to me. I think because it wasn’t quite as sheer, but it was still beautiful. The flakies are shown off really well when matte. It looked so different in different lighting, sometimes even looking purple instead of black.
Songs in the Key of Life – A blue micro flakie polish with different colored glitters sporadically throughout.

You know how sometimes get a bottle of polish and what’s in the bottle doesn’t translate to the nail? I was worried this one would be like that, but it wasn’t at all. This is another one that is a litter thicker, but still cleaned up easily and wasn’t difficult to work with. I used 2 coats of this one and also needed 2 coats of Liquid Glass as it was still a little textured after the first coat. Another favorite from the group.
Sweeney Todd – A silver glitter bomb with black holo glitters and a dash of red glitter dots.

Last but not least, here is Sweeney Todd. So crazy sparkly in the sun. Shown is 3 coats plus 1 coat of Liquid Glass. I could have gotten away with 2 coats, but I did 3 for extra sparkle. I thought this one would be like Little Dancer and wreak havoc with my matte topcoat so I only added it to my pointer and ring fingers so you could see the difference between matte and glossy. Another favorite from this collection.
*extra note* This is the first time I’ve used Liquid Glass topcoat and I really liked it. It is thick, but easy to float it across the top of the nail. I really wanted to try it over some stamping since it’s so easy to float, but I didn’t have time for this collection.
These polishes will go on sale September 17th in the P•O•P Polish shop on Etsy. They are $10 each or $54 if you buy the whole set. Which ones are you going to pick up?
